RIMC Entrance Exam – Admission to Class VIII – Last date to Apply 31st March

RIMC Dehradun, ie. Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) announced Entrance Exam for June 2020. This is for Admission to Class VIII for January 2021 Term.

This is only for boys and for admission to Class VIII in the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun (Uttrakhand) for January 2021 Term.

Admission will be through RIMC Entrance Exam to be held on June 1 and 2, 2020.

What is RIMC (Rashtriya Institute Military College), Dehradun

The Rashtriya Indian Military College is an Inter-Services Institution and a Category-A established of the Ministry of Defence. The college was established in 1922 with the primary aim of preparing boys for entry into Defence Services and to provide quality all round education to young boys.

Important Dates for RIMC Admission Test 2020

Last Date of Receipt of Application Form	31st March 2020
Date of 8th Class Admission Test	01st & 02nd June 2020
Date of Interview for qualified candidates who have passed written test	06th October 2020

Eligibility Criteria for RIMC Admission test

Age	Should not be less than 11½ years in age but should not have attained the age of 13 Years as on 01st January 2021, i.e., they should have been born not earlier than 02nd January 2008 and not later than 01st July 2009.
Education	Candidates should either be studying in Class VII or Passed Class VII from any recognized school at the time of admission to the RIMC, i.e. on 01st January 2021.

RIMC Exam Process

Written test

Will be of three papers, English, Mathematics and GK. The written test is spread over 2 days. generally English and Maths are conducted on same day and GK on next day. A minimum 50% marks are mandatory to score in each subject to go to next round which is Interview

Interview round

All candidates who clear the written test, with minimum 50% marks in each subject will be called for interview. They will be intimated for this along with date and time of the interview.

Medical Examination

All candidates who have cleared the interview round will be called for Medical Examination. Once medical exam is done, the final list of selected candidates are prepared.

Exam Centers

Exam centers are generally in each state and will be announced by RIMC.

How to get prospectus

The prospectus cum application form and booklet of old question papers can be obtained from the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Garhi Cantt, Dehradun, Uttarakhand Pin Code 248003 through Speed Post by forwarding self addressed slip and an account payee Bank Demand Draft of Rs 600/- for general Candidates Rs 555/- for ST/SC candidates along with Caste Certificate.

The Demand Draft should be made in favour of “THE COMMANDANT RIMC DEHRADUN”, BRANCH SBI TEL BHAWAN, DEHRADUN BANK CODE 01576, UTTARAKHAND . The address should be typed / written clearly in capital letters with pin code and contact number.
