Friends, you have just finished your 12th board and are looking for a career in computer science / IT related field and you see that there are many options available in this area to pursue further studies. Basic difference between BCA , Bsc (IT/CS) and BTECH (IT/CS)

So, as you can see from above table, your choice of course depends upon time you would like to spend for the course and also the affordability.
But you should also remember that most of the BTECH (CS/IT) courses need you to sit for an entrance examination which might the be the case for many colleges offering BCA or BSc(IT/CS). Though there are many universities which might need to you to sit for entrance exams for BCA and BSC (IT/CS) as well. Let us look at the job prospects.
Job prospects for BCA, Bsc (IT/CS), BTECH (IT/CS)

So as I mentioned above, for product based companies which also offer higher salaries, BTECH graduates are preferred, but that does not mean that BSC graduates and BCA graduates are not opted for product based companies and remember there is always a option to study further and improve your skills.
So What should you do?
Focus on your goal
Always aim for your goal. Remember BCA, Bsc(IT) and BTECH (IT/CS) can all lead to same goal. Just the effort and time taken will be a little bit different
Keep yourself updated
IT/CS is a field which is constantly evolving. Every day we hear about some new technologies coming up and hence to remain relevant in industry, you need to learn and keep yourself updated and this is irrespective of what course your have done.

Look at all options
- Try BTECH, but if you are not able to get it for whatever reason, do give BCA and BSC (IT) a good thought.
- BTECH will definitely cost more and in case you are not able to afford it BCA and BSC(IT) can be a good option
In the end – Achieve
The field of IT is all about logic and if you have a logical bend of mind, you can be a great programmer. Remember in the end all (BTECH, BSC , BCA) are taken in same role i.e
- Application Programmer
- Application developer
- Software Engineer etc.
